Welcome to Herdwick Landscapes
We specialize in creating cottages for the miniaturist and doll’s house enthusiast that are inspired by the traditional architecture of the English Lake District. We work primarily in 1/24th scale but we will make other scales to order. Would you like a model of a particular cottage, perhaps the one where you grew up? Then contact us - we are happy to accept commissions for specific projects.
We also provide a range of handmade furniture designed to complement our cottages. The furnishings we produce are carefully researched to ensure they are accurate representations of the vernacular styles appropriate to our cottages. If there is a particular item of furniture you require but you cannot find it amongst our range then get in touch and we will try to make it for you.
Historical Accuracy combined with Practicality and Flexibility
We design our cottages with historical accuracy in mind - all are based upon actual cottages or styles of building that were typical of their period. At 
the same time, we ensure that our cottages have special features that make them both exciting and practical for the miniaturist and dolls’ house enthusiast. For example, all the cottages have fully removable parts to make decorating and lighting easy for you.
Our cottages come with a choice of styles, providing you with either a ready-made home or a base for your own creative talents. We are happy to discuss any custom designs you may require, providing you with the flexibility and control that you need over your chosen cottage.
