Country Cottage Room Box - 1/24th scale

What The Workshop Will Include

The ‘box’ with stone-clad walls and flagstone floor will be provided, along with all the necessary wood to complete the room box.  Furniture and lights are not provided but can be purchased separately at a discount.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those with more experience. The workshop will show you how to -

• assemble the stairs
• make and fit wall panelling, shelf and a false door
• distress and fit ceiling beams
• make a mantelpiece and shelf for the fireplace
• mitre and fit the finishing trim
• use paints to create ageing effects
• fit lights and fires.

The room box can be seen in the photo above, while to
the right ageing effects have been added and a candle
light and open range fitted (not included but available
to buy for a 10% discount on the day).

Duration:  One day
Venue: Held at venue of your choice
Price of kit:  £38 per kit for each participant

Price of workshop:

• £10 per person (minimum number of 5)
• cost of kit for each participant (£38 each)
• travelling costs at 25p per mile.

Tools Required
A variety of tools will be provided but participants are requested to bring the following to avoid time lost through sharing -

• sharp craft knife
• mitre cutters, if possible
• pencil
• steel rule
• scissors
• small brushes for glue, paint and wood stain
• cloth to clean brushes
• a cutting mat would also be useful.
